Streaks/lines when using Canon auto feeder
If you have streaks and lines showing up when scanning a document/invoice with the ADF (Auto Feeder) on your Canon scanner, please perform the following steps to attempt to clean it up.
- Locate the ADF scanning lens strip by lifting up the cover as if you were going to scan directly from the glass. It is located on the left and circled in the picture below.
- One end of the strip has a plastic piece you can lift up to remove the scanning lens strip.
- Once removed use a cloth and a little cleaner to clean the bottom side of the clear "window" strip of the plastic as well as the glass that the strip sits over when in place.
- Place the scanning lens strip back in place and do a test scan using the auto feeder. If scans are still difficult to read or have large columns blocked out by lines, please submit a work order.
